Kodo: The Soul of Motion | Mazda RX-Vision Study

"Breathing life into the machine."

This project is a visual exploration of Mazda’s Kodo design language—a philosophy where form is not just a shape, but a living entity. The RX-Vision represents the ultimate harmony between power and elegance, a tribute to the rotary heritage that refuses to fade away.

Through these renders, I sought to capture the "Sori" (the curves of the Japanese sword)—those clean, minimalist lines that define the car's silhouette. It’s not about adding elements, but about the purity of what remains.

The Depth of Soul Red

The centerpiece of this study is the iconic Soul Red Crystal paint work. In these images, the paint isn't just a color; it’s a character. By utilizing the AgX color transform, I focused on the "liquid" nature of the reflections, allowing the light to flow over the long hood and muscular fenders as if it were water in motion.

Jinba-Ittai: The Harmony of Interior

The cockpit shots focus on the "Jinba-Ittai"—the oneness between horse and rider. The interior is treated as a sanctuary of tactile materials: the grain of the leather, the cold touch of the machined aluminum, and the deep shadows that frame the driver’s intent. It is a space designed for the soul of the drive.

The Skyactiv-R Legacy

A whisper of the future. The close-up details are an ode to the rotary engine’s return—mechanical precision meeting artistic vision.
